The EU might “respond swiftly and decisively” against what it deems “unjustified” travel bans issued by the United States against five European individuals working on fighting digital hatred and disinformation, a European Commission spokesperson has said.

EU Officials Decry US Move as ‘Intimidation’

Officials from Europe such as Emmanuel Macron charged Washington of “bullying and threats”, following the travel bans were placed on figures who have been at the heart of efforts to introduce laws regulating American tech companies.
