Renowned Actor The actor Pat Finn, Known For Appearances in Friends and The Middle, Has Died at Age 60.
Stateside actor Pat Finn, who appeared in beloved television series including Friends, "Seinfeld" and "The Middle", has passed away at the age of 60.
The comedy and improvisation performer died at home in LA recently after undergoing treatment for cancer since 2022, as reported by news outlets.
"He considered no one a stranger - only friends he didn't know yet," his loved ones shared in a announcement.
They added that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with happiness and energy".
A Notable TV Career
His debut TV appearance was on the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he appeared as the lead character's sibling.
He subsequently landed a recurring role on Murphy Brown from 1995 to 1997.
He appeared as the character Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in 1998, depicting a social organizer known to delegate tedious tasks to his guests.
In the late 1990s and early 2000s, he appeared as a guest star on numerous hit series, like:

- "Friends"
- That '70s Show
- House
His most famous role for his portrayal of Bill Norwood in The Middle, appearing throughout eight series between 2011 and 2018.

A Life in Improv
Outside of his acting parts, Finn was an improv performer and also taught at the University of Colorado, where he was an adjunct professor.
He was involved with a six-member improv team named Beer Shark Mice.
"He coached, befriended and mentored numerous pupils throughout the years and it's nearly impossible to find anyone anywhere who has anything negative to say about him," his relatives stated.
In a tribute, colleague and actor Richard Kind remarked there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, grounded individual you could encounter".
"Perpetually optimistic, assisting others to improve and be funnier. An excellent dad and person," he posted online.
