President Trump announced on Sunday that he has asked the relatives of a National Guard member fatally shot last week to visit the White House.

Both the soldiers had been serving with the state guard as part of the president’s federal initiative to aid policing efforts in Washington DC.

She conducted herself with inner fortitude, a contagious smile and a optimistic attitude that encouraged those around her,” the principal, the leader of her alma mater, stated to the media. “She was caring, caring and always willing to support those in need.”

Authorities have indicted a twenty-nine-year-old individual from Afghanistan with a charge of first-degree murder and charges of attempted murder while armed.

The incident prompted the government to pause asylum processing and temporarily stop providing entry permits to possessors of travel documents.

The airman, a native of Martinsburg, started his military career in February 2019 and is a graduate of Musselman High, as reported by the Associated Press.

“She had a lot of compassion and she definitely had fortitude,” he addressed the crowd at the memorial. “Though her time lasted far too short, she has created a legacy that’s going to be remembered always.”
