Vince Zampella, Has Passed Away in an LA Vehicle Accident

Vince Zampella, who helped create the immensely successful franchise Call of Duty, has tragically died in a car accident in California he was 55 years old.

The tragic news was verified by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, a game studio which he helped establish.

The renowned game designer lost his life when his vehicle was involved in a crash and caught fire on a freeway in Los Angeles on Sunday, according to.

"This represents a devastating loss, and we stand with Vince's family, those closest to him, and the countless individuals inspired by his work," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts said.
